More in this section: | AdvocacyThe NLA reviews and analyzes state and federal agency decisions, bar association regulations, and rules affecting lawyers, paralegals, our profession, our clients, and the rule of law.In 2015, the National Lawyers Association Board of Governors responded to the overwhelming demand of its members to engage more in the legislative process by creating the NLA Commission for the Protection of Constitutional Rights (“CPCR”). The CPCR is led by a national advisory board comprised of national and international experts covering the fields of law, history, philosophy, political science, theology, economics, sociology, medicine, research, bioethics, business, media and human rights advocacy. This advisory board is working to develop a national advocacy program which includes the establishment of state NLA Chapters and affiliation. The CPCR will work with the state groups to build coalitions to research and analyze legislation and provide a network of experts on a variety of topics to offer testimony at legislative hearings. The CPCR will also publish articles, provide experts for press released on issues that arise and be available for speaking engagements. Other AdvocacyThe NLA represents and advocates for judicial and legislative policies that are based on America's founding principles.
